Doctors and nutritionists are behind the curve on this one. New discoveries you probably won’t hear about from them now show that the signals sent within our bodies are critical for good health.

We already know about neurotransmitters, the substances in your brain that send feel-good signals to your body.

And hormones play a huge role in dictating how we feel and how our bodies perform each day.

But there’s other signaling going on in your body. Maybe the most important is the communication between a hidden fat and your body.

It’s called visceral fat, and it stores toxins that cannot be filtered by the liver. These can cause heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.

And now there’s a new danger. Researchers at Michigan State University have found that visceral fat, a type of fat you can’t see but that can wrap around your organs, communicates with your blood vessels via the signals it releases.

And those signals seem to be saying “raise blood pressure ASAP!”

“Our basic thought is that these signals, or ‘talk,’ between fat and blood vessels are very different in those people who have hypertension and those who don’t,” says researcher Greg Fink. “In order for us to figure out why this fat raises blood pressure, we need to understand the messages being sent.”

Fink points out that visceral fat can also collect around blood vessels, as well as the intestines and the stomach. This can lead to serious health problems.

“Too much of this ‘bad’ fat is what’s linked to high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke,” Fink says. “About 70 percent of hypertension cases are linked to obesity.”

The best way to cut off the communication between visceral fat and blood is to use one of the proven ways to get rid of this fat.

The first one to try might be the easiest.

It’s called “alternative day fasting.” Research at the University of Chicago has shown you can lose weight with a modified fast every other day and eating as much as you want on the other days.

Something that can speed up visceral fat loss is to exercise first thing in the morning on the days when you fast.

You can also aid visceral fat loss through supplementing with rosehip extract. A new study gave people either one tablet of placebo or rosehip that contained 100 mg of rosehip extract once each day for 12 weeks with no changes in diet.

The rosehip group lost a significant amount of visceral fat with no side effects at all.
